Julia

I have been a substance use disorder (addiction) counselor since 1988. In my first job, I worked with addicted felons for ten years, which proved fortuitous because it gave me experience working with people with a wide variety of clinical problems and backgrounds. For the last 20+ years I have specialized in family law cases and have been on the GAL registry for eight years.

I am the owner/administrator at EHC and currently provide all the clinical services. I also work as a Guardian ad Litem in King and Kitsap Counties in high-conflict custody litigation cases, which is discussed in more detail here.

Andrea

Andrea is too busy to take clients at Eagle Harbor Counseling right now, although I persist in hoping she’ll be back. She still consults here.

Andrea began her work as a chemical dependency counselor in 1990 after completing the Addiction Studies program at Seattle University. She has a BA in Holistic Psychology and an MA in Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University. She also has the substance use disorder counselor credential (SUDP). Andrea draws from person-centered and mindfulness-based cognitive therapies to support clients in achieving well-being and the quality of life they desire.

Andrea is also specially trained and experienced in working with family members of people who suffer from addictions.
